As Barack Obama, John Kerry and William Hague continue to talk a good war (with the volume turned up to eleven?) Vladimir Putin and Russia continue to run rings around them. Not for nothing are the Russians known as the best chess players in the world.

Putin Says Washington was Behind Ukraine Unrest – Now Leading It

The US has been behind the Ukrainian crisis from the beginning, but was initially flying low, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said. He added that if sanctions continue, Russia will have to reconsider who has access to key sectors of its economy.

“I think what is happening now shows us who really was mastering the process from the beginning. But in the beginning, the United States preferred to remain in the shadow,” Putin said, as quoted by RIA Novosti.

Putin stated that since the US has taken a lead role in resolving the political crisis in Ukraine, it is “telling that they originally were behind this process, but now they just have emerged as leaders” of it.

The “Maidan cookies” policy paves the way to a broader crisis, Putin warned, referring to US officials showing up in central Kiev and encouraging protesters during demonstrations.

“It is necessary to understand that the situation is serious and try to find serious approaches to the solution,” he said.

Putin said that he has called on Kiev to start an all-Ukrainian dialogue, adding that other countries should not be blamed for the crisis.

“[They should] treat equally the rights of those living in other areas of Ukraine, first of all, I mean, the east and southeast, establish a dialogue, find a compromise,” he told journalists while speaking about the measures necessary to put an end to the crisis. “Here’s what you need to do; searching for the guilty outside Ukraine is wrong.”

The Obama regime, wallowing in hubris and arrogance, has recklessly escalated the Ukrainian crisis into a crisis with Russia. Whether intentionally or stupidly, Washington’s propagandistic lies are driving the crisis to war. Unwilling to listen to any more of Washington’s senseless threats, Moscow no longer accepts telephone calls from Obama and US top officials.

The crisis in Ukraine originated with Washington’s overthrow of the elected democratic government and its replacement with Washington’s hand-chosen stooges. The stooges proceeded to act in word and deed against the populations in the former Russian territories that Soviet Communist Party leaders had attached to Ukraine. The consequence of this foolish policy is agitation on the part of the Russian speaking populations to return to Russia. Crimea has already rejoined Russia, and eastern Ukraine and other parts of southern Ukraine are likely to follow.

Instead of realizing its mistake, the Obama regime has encouraged the stooges Washington installed in Kiev to use violence against those in the Russian-speaking areas who are agitating for referendums so that they can vote their return to Russia. The Obama regime has encouraged violence despite President Putin’s clear statement that the Russian military will not occupy Ukraine unless violence is used against the protesters.

One of the key underlying postulates of overseas wars has been somewhat lost on many Americans who have been conditioned through top-down political and mass media narratives over the years, to only see geopolitical and military events in binary form – freedom vs fascism, good vs evil, capitalism vs communist, and west vs east. The concept not mentioned in that list has been fundamental throughout history, and it is as follows: what is endorsed overseas will eventually come home to roost.

Think about it. The decades-long phase we’ve all witnessed – of the United States Federal Government’s hyper-militarisation overseas is already firmly planted on US soil.

Think about how much money and resources were spent by the US Federal government in places like Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Iran, Egypt and now in the Ukraine, on 1) intelligence gathering, and 2) counterintelligence, and 3) social and political subversion, 4) intentional destabilisation, or 5) an end-run hostile takeover of government, and 6) the installation of a puppet regime . You have to ask yourself whether or not they can, or have already, deployed these same measures here in the United States. At the very least, we already know for certain that the US Federal government has already done the first three things in that list.

Not Waving But Drowning

Looking at the world situation and America’s worsening position as it tries (but fails) to manipulate events to its advantage brings to mind Stevie Simith’s poem, “Not waving but drowning.” which tells of a man who swam out beyond his range and was so far from shore people did not hear his cries for help and thought he was just larking about.

America is not quite like that, rather than waving frantically as it sinks below the surface of its debt pool, it is shaking an angry fist and blaming Russia, Syria, the Republicans, George W Bush, Europe, anyone in fact except the people responsible for its plight.

In the present confrontation between Russia and the West over the Ukrainian crisis, the image of the Cold War inevitably comes to mind and the media are obviously fond of it. However, contrary to what it gives us to understand, it’s not Russia that seeks the return of an iron curtain but really the US. And this in the crazy hope of preserving the American way of life and the US’ influence over “its” camp in the absence of being able to impose it on the whole world. In other words, go down with as many companions as possible to give the impression of not sinking.

For the US, these are the current stakes in fact: drag along the whole Western camp with them to be able to continue dominating and trading with enough countries. So, we are witnessing a formidable operation of turning round opinion and leaders in Europe to ensure docile and understanding rulers vis-à-vis the American boss, supported by a blitzkrieg to link them permanently with the TTIP and to cut them off from what could be their lifeline, namely the BRICS, their huge markets, their vibrant future, their link with developing countries, etc. We are analyzing all these aspects in this GEAB issue, as well as the subtle use of the fear of deflation to convince Europeans to adopt US methods.

In the light of the extreme danger of these methods used by the US, it goes without saying that leaving the US ship wouldn’t be an act of betrayal by Europe, but really a major step forward for the world as we have already extensively analyzed in previous GEAB issues (1).

Unfortunately, the most reasonable European leaders are completely paralyzed and the best strategy that they are still capable of currently putting into effect, in the best case scenario, seems to be simply to delay (2), certainly useful and welcome but hardly sufficient…

EU spy chief rules out Russian military presence in Ukraine

There is no large Russian military presence in East Ukraine, head of EU intelligence, Commodore Georgij Alafuzoff, has said. The spy chief has dismissed multiple accusations from the West alleging Russian involvement in the unrest in the region.

In an interview with Finnish national news broadcaster, Yle, Alafuzoff said the Russian military had nothing to do with the seizing of government buildings in eastern Ukraine.

“In my opinion, it’s mostly people who live in the region who are not satisfied with the current state of affairs,” said Alafuzoff, referring to the situation in East Ukraine. As even Americans living in a controlled media environment are aware, Europeans, South Americans, and Chinese are infuriated that the National Stasi Agency is spying on their communications. NSA’s affront to legality, the US Constitution, and international diplomatic norms is unprecedented. Yet, the spying continues, while Congress sits sucking its thumb and betraying its oath to defend the Constitution of the United States.

In Washington mumbo-jumbo from the executive branch about “national security” suffices to negate statutory law and Constitutional requirements. Western Europe, seeing that the White House, Congress and the Federal Courts are impotent and unable to rein-in the Stasi Police State, has decided to create a European communication system that excludes US companies in order to protect the privacy of European citizens and government communications from the Washington Stasi.

The Obama regime, desperate that no individual and no country escape its spy net, denounced Western Europe’s intention to protect the privacy of its communications as “a violation of trade laws.”

Obama’s US Trade Representative, who has been negotiating secret “trade agreements” in Europe and Asia that give US corporations immunity to the laws of all countries that sign the agreements, has threatened WTO penalties if Europe’s communications network excludes the US companies that serve as spies for NSA. Washington in all its arrogance has told its most necessary allies that if you don’t let us spy on you, we will use WTO to penalize you.

The former Prime Minister suggested voters do not always understand where Britain’s real interests lie and should be ignored if politicians think there is a good case for military intervention.

He admitted that ministers should be ‘aware’ of the need to secure public support for a foreign conflict. ‘But in my view, it doesn’t invalidate the necessity to intervene because what you’ve got to compare is the fact and the consequences of intervention with the fact and the consequences of non-intervention,’ he said.

On the strength of two weeks without any major violence or annexation moves by Russia, American talking-heads proclaimed Ukraine ‘fixed’, Russia ‘under control’, and Europe ‘recovering’ all thanks to the peacemaker and joybringer, aquatic pedestrian and turner of water into wine whose sublime intelligence and diplomatic skills had completely out manoeuvred Putin’s Russia. As usual American self belief outstripped American achievement.

The hyperbole, the singing of Kumbaya, the talk of american exceptionalism were all obliterated this morning however. Reports of the storming of various Ukrainian city government buildings outside Crimea suggest round two of the Russian push to take control of Ukraine is under way and Russia is wasting no time describing how this will be achieved.

Senator Viktor Ozerov stated that “Russia has no right to [send peacekeepers] unilaterally” to Eastern and Southern Ukraine (unless the UN agrees)… but… “Russia is interested in stability in Ukraine. At the same time, the will of the people must be documented. A referendum is the most democratic way of expressing one’s will.”

In other words, “we can’t help you Russian speakers of eastern Ukraine who would rather be people of southern Russia unless you hold a referendum and vote to become part of Russia.”

“What is happening in Donetsk, Luhansk and other eastern regions of Ukraine is logical, taking into account the policy being pursued by the Ukrainian leaders, who disregard ordinary citizens’ opinions and appoint oligarchs to govern,” Interfax reports a Kremlin spokesman as saying.

As is the Ukraine government,

“A law proposing the introduction of a state of emergency in Donetsk, Lugansk and Kharkov regions following the public disorder over the weekend has been submitted to the Rada”, a Ukrain government press release said.

Can a free trade treaty really be called that when the ‘free’ is refers to is freeing nasty corporations like Monsanto, Dow Chemical, BP, Exxon, the Drugs and medicine cartel or the big bankers from having to comply with laws enacted by elected governments that the corporate interests don’t like. Of course not.

We have already seen similar terms and conditions included in the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) a so called free trade treaty among the pacific rim nations (in these treaties, free trade means anything but free, you understand, TPP and it’s trans atlantic counterpart the Trans Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (ttip) and now the new kid on the block, the US-EU Trans-Atlantic Free Trade Agreement (TAFTA) will have devastating consequences for we the punters and for the economies of the sovereign nations we live in

But for the banks, big corporations and the bureaucracies who work hand in glove with them, it’s all gravy.

We have warned you before about negotiations currently going on (mainly in secret, us ordinary punters are not allowed to know how the Banking Cartel led by the Rothschild dynasty plan to take control of our lives) to bring the free world closer to rule by a totalitarian global government led by unelected bureucrats and technocrats. We have reported on the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) wihch US Emperor Barack Hussein Obama is trying to bulldoze into law without it’s ever being voted on by the US Congress and on the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment which would create a similar apparent free trade area spanning europe and Noth America.

What you have read in mainstream print media or heard in boroadcast news is unfortunately a complete load of bollocks. Anybody who has taken the trouble to read the parts of these agreements that are so far publicly available has been shocked to see that far from free trade, trade between nations party to the agreements would be controlled by global banks and corporations. Corporate and business interests would also gain the power to override or veto the laws made by elected assemblies of sovereign nations.

The American economy depends on the ‘petrodollar’, while the US dollar is the global reserve currency in which nations conduct cross border business, the US can dictate what price it will pay for commodities. But once other nations abandon the dollar, the fundamental weakneses of the US economy are exposed.

France’s Socialist Prime Minister and entire government quit following electoral meltdown

France’s Socialist Prime Minister resigned along with his entire government today following meltdown in municipal elections across the country.

Jean-Marc Ayrault conceded that a vast swing to the right, including the fall of serveral lage cities and regional administrative centres to the Front Nationale was down to him.

‘There is no getting away from it – this vote is a defeat for the government,’ said Mr Ayrault. ‘I take my part of the blame.’

He handed his resignation to President Francois Hollande, whose two years in power so far have seen him become the most unpopular head of state in recent French history.’ … Reuters
