Bereaved daughter Susan Phillips daughter has filed a complaint against the hospital which left put her father on the barbaric ‘Liverpool Care Pathway’ without her permission.
Mrs. Phillips said her 69-year-old father Robert Goold was left to slowly deteriorate for more than a week on the controversial Liverpool Care Pathway.
Mr. Goold, who suffered from dementia, became weaker and weaker as doctors withdrew food, water and oxygen, but survived longer than they expected. Mrs Phillips told the media that after he had spent six days on the pathway and was still alive a nurse at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, offered to reverse the programme but it was too late.
Mr Goold died the following day at 5.40am, on February 25, without being able to say goodbye to his wife of 51 years because she was too traumatised.
Mrs Phillips, 50, claims doctors and nurses could not explain to her why her father had been put on the LCP because the decision had not been recorded in his notes. Addenbrooke’s said they will engineer a cover up investigate the family’s claims after an inquest has been held.
Mrs Phillips, who is a nurse, said: ‘My dad was so stressed that we were led to believe death was imminent and so we just tried to calm him down. ‘You wouldn’t treat a dog the way dad was treated, the best interests of the patient are not served by starving him to death
A PATHWAY TO EUTHANASIA? THE CONTROVERSY AROUND LCP
In December 2012 reports revealed up to 60,000 patients die on the Liverpool Care Pathway each year without giving their informed consent to the withdrawal of food, fluids and medication. A third of the families are also kept in the dark about what the ‘Pathway’ means when Nazi Health Service doctors withdraw lifesaving treatment from loved ones.
The pathway involves withdrawal of what is euphemistically described as lifesaving treatment but when we understand the term ‘lifesaving treatment’ includes food and water while the patients are kept sedated so they do not know what is going on, the treatment program takes on a different aspect.
The 60,000 figure comes from a joint study by the Marie Curie Palliative Care Institute in Liverpool and the Royal College of Physicians. It found many patients were not consulted despite being conscious when death camp officers staff decided to terminate their livesput them on the Liverpool Care Pathway.
Records from 178 hospitals also show that thousands of people on the pathway are left to die in pain because nurses do not do enough to keep them comfortable while drugs are administered. Concerns have been raised that clinical judgments are being skewed by incentives for hospitals to use the pathway.
Health trusts are rumoured to have been paid an extra £30million for putting more patients on the LCP. Critics say it is a self-fulfilling prophecy because there is no scientific method of predicting when death will come.
Norman Lamb, the care services minister, launched a review in November, saying there had been too many cases of families not being consulted.
While it is appalling that the Liverpool Care Pathway Nazi Death Camp approach to the seriously ill is going on under the noses of Coalition MPs who should be told they have six minutes to make it illegal then they will bew put on it themselves, we should remember this disgusting policy was first implemented by the National Socialist Party Of Great Britain (the party formerly know as Labour) government in the late 1990s. A European Union scheme to implement new border control technology will result in Big Brother surveillance, a Green Party Member of the European Parliament has warned.
The European Commission’s plans for so-called ‘Smart Borders’ were published on 1 March 2013, revealing the Commission plans to implement automated systems to monitor non-EU citizens entering and leaving the bloc.
“The use of new technologies will enable smoother and speedier border crossing for third country citizens who want to come to the EU. Modernising our systems will also lead to a higher level of security by preventing irregular border crossings and detecting those who overstay,” said Home Affairs Commissioner Cecilia Malmström.
Jan Philipp Albrecht a German Green in the European Parliament but obviously not a Watermelon (green on the outside, red on the inside) voiced concerns that the smart borders initiative would create an “e-fortress Europe” adding there is “no evidence to show that this trend towards mass data storage has yielded any improvements for security and criminal investigations.” Data of all passengers traveling from third countries into the EU would be collected, he said.
The E U plan consists of a Registered Traveler Programme (RTP) aimed at frequent business travelers or those with relatives in the EU and an Entry/Exit System (EES). The RTP would make use of automated border control systems such as automated gates for pre-screened visitors.
The EES would digitally record the time and place of entry and exit of third country nationals and issue an alert to national authorities when there is no exit record by the expiry time. The current practice when checking a third country national wanting to cross the EU’s external borders is based mainly on the stamps in the travel document. It is easy to foresee that as social breakdown continues due to the failure of the single currency, high unemployment due to insane industrial policies and the inefficiency of high tech policing, the system would quickly be extended to monitor the movements of all citizens even within their own community.
The plan calls to mind the U K Labour government’s plan to force us all to carry national ID cards loaded with a GPS chip whenever we left our home. The plan was shelved due to public opposition but has never been abandoned. Similarly a clause in the American Healthcare System dubbed Obama care contains a clause that would enable the government to implant an RFID chip in the body of every citizen. Supporters of Obama’s health care plan protest that the bill does not state people will be chipped. This is true, but it does clear legal obstacles in the US Constitution and international human rights law to such a policy.
Together with fellow politician Ska Keller, Albrecht has set up a campaign called Smashborders to oppose the plans, urging EU citizens to fight against “the creation of an enormous database” that would infringe civil liberties.
The proposals will now go before the European Parliament and, if approved there, to the national assemblies of member states for ratification. The Commission hopes the system will be operational in 2017 or 2018.

U. S. Secretary of State John Kerry, the Obama administration’s foreign affairs chief has admitted that the US is looking at ways to speed up transition in Syria, adding that the rebel opposition needs more help.
Mr Kerry, on his first overseas tour as Secretary of State, said America and France were “examining ways to accelerate political transition”, during a joint press conference with Laurent Fabius, his French counterpart. “We think it’s very important that more of our assistance gets to areas that have been liberated from the regime,” Kerry said.
Officials told the media Syria would be discussed at the Rome meeting Thursday. The French have a track record of collaborating with fascists of course.
Mr Kerry also signalled that Washington could be mulling increased aid to the Syrian opposition, saying: “The opposition needs more help. We know Sheik Barack Hussein Obama fancies himself as Emperor of the World but since when did the governance of Syria become a matter for him and his cabal of racists, freaks and weirdos. If the Narcissist – in – Chief had not meddled in Syria, Assad would have crushed the rebellion, his thoroughly unpleasant regime would have continued rather than bring replaced by an even more unpleasant Islamic theocracy and western interests would have been safeguarded.
Now it seems Obama is eager to get into another campaign for regime change, like the one that brought down Muammar ‘Mad Dog’ Gaddafi, reduced Libya to a lawless failed state and led to Al Qaeda sponsored uprisings in Mali and Niger. Mr Kerry spoke amid reports from the Washington Post that the US is considering a shift in policy towards the conflict and may send rebels body armour and armed vehicles, as well as possibly provide military training.
It will be interesting to see how Russia, China and Iran react to this development.
