Labour lose the plot

A comment from Andy S in a Disqus thread. I haven’t come across Andy before but have heard similar things to those he complains of from Labour supporters for many years.

I think the best was about a month after the 2010 election when the lefties were in full witch hunt mode against the coalition and I blogged that we had to give them a chance.

“A chance? Look how they’ve screwed up the economy,” raved one left wing commenter. The real tragedy was that the pillock wasn’t joking. Anyway over to Andy S.

The ignorance and gullibility of the Labour Party faithful is astounding to behold. If they are anything like the two Labour canvassers I encountered on Saturday outside my local shop they’d believe anything Ed told them. Among the howlers these two socialist idiots were convinced were true were:-

Andrew Lansley covered up the deaths at Stafford and other hospitals (not Andy Burnham). Also thought that the only unnecessary deaths were at one hospital.
The 50p tax rate on higher earners was introduced in 1997!
Maggie Thatcher sent in hundreds of troops against the miners at Orgreave.
Churchill sent in troops to shoot and kill striking Welsh miners in the 1920s.
Only Tory MPs were gaoled for expenses fiddling.
The 4 million+ immigrants Labour allowed to flood into the country was because we had a skills shortage.
Convinced Maggie Thatcher closed down all the pits (despite me pointing out that the N.U.M.’s own website shows that Labour closed down more pits that the Tories ever did.

I could go on but these two middle aged idiots, who should have known better, wouldn’t accept the truth of what Labour did in power, even though I told them where to research the facts. While we have people like these two I despair for the future of this country.

When Labour elected Ed Miliband as their leader in 2010 it was clear the party had a death wish. The ‘broad church’ Prime Minister Harold Wilson spoke of in the 1960s, the alliance of intellectuals and socially conservative industrial workers who made up the party’s core vote managed to coexist. Then came feminism, politically correct thinking, New Labour factions as the party started to tear itself apart. It looks as if we are in the endgame.

He’s Not The Messiah, His Name Is Edymandias – Miliband’s slab stunt goes down like a Lead Balloon
Only two days campaigning left before polls open for the 2015 general election. Who will winn? Opinion Poll show no conclusive trends. But inside information tells us the reason conservative Prime Minister David Cameron has a smile on his face as the campaigning draws to a close. Farage is radiant, Clegg looks chirpy as his chances of holding his Sheffied seat have improved enormously, only Ed Milband is down in the dumps.

The Left’s Rhetorical Technique Explained

In the first of what might become a long if irregular series of posts with the collective title, “Left Wing Authoritarianism for beginners,” your friend and mentor Little Nicky Nicky Machiavelli will expose the origins of the socialist left’s propaganda technique and its apparent dependence on slogans, dogma and mantras.

But first let’s play a little game, stop me when you think you know where this originates from, the Obama Administration Public Relations Office, the Labour Party Manifesto, Saul Alinsky’s ‘Rules For Radicals’ or the writings of Karl Marx:

The receptivity of the great masses is very limited, their intelligence is small, but their power of forgetting is enormous. In consequence of these facts, all effective propaganda must be limited to a very few points and must harp on these in slogans until the last member of the public understands what you want him to understand by your slogan. As soon as you sacrifice this slogan and try to be many-sided, the effect will piddle away, for the crowd can neither digest nor retain the material offered. In this way the result is weakened and in the end entirely cancelled out.

Well if you said “None of the above” you’d be right. The left’s substitution of slogans for reasoned argument was recommended by none other than Adolf Hitler in his 1926 side splitter “Mein Kampf”; Chapter 6, “War Propaganda” (h/t George Chen).

Does that explain why they want to reduce every debate to ‘good guys versus bad guys’ and never ever discuss the issues.

ISIS: The Monster Stamped ‘Made In America’

As Dave the Dickhead prepares to strip us of more civil rights and liberties (including the right to vote UKIP, defect to UKIP or even point out that anyone who says UKIP are racist is illiterate) on the grounds that Saddam Hussein’s Weapons Of Mass destruction ISIS pose a real and immediate threat to Barack Obama’s legacy british National Security this snippet from an article in the World Socialist Web Site shows where the real terrorist threat resides:

… The fact remains, however, that the US, the major European powers, and their regional allies all previously lent financial, military and political support to ISIS and similar groups, which have “Made in the USA” stamped all over them. They have, until now, played a significant part in Washington’s efforts to overthrow the regime of President Bashar al-Assad in Syria, as part of a broader effort to gain control of the region’s vast energy resources and transit routes.

For three years, the US, along with the Gulf states and Turkey, poured billions into “opposition” groups, supposedly to unnamed “moderates,” but in reality to Al Qaeda-linked Sunni groups such as al-Nusra and ISIS to spearhead a sectarian war. The US, Turkey and Jordan have operated a base in Jordan where US instructors trained dozens of ISIS members. In an article last year, the New York Times confirmed that the CIA assisted Arab governments and Turkey by airlifting weaponry to these groups in Jordan and Turkey. The Guardian reported last March that British and French instructors were also involved.

ISIS: The jihadist movement stamped “Made in America”

As Little Nicky Machiavelli has always said: It is not Russia or China or Al Qaeda that threaten the security of nations in the free world, it is the United States of America, the various governments of which, for the past several decades have been pursuing a goal of global hegemony. As the WSWS claims, ISIS was formed to start the world war the Obama administration’s ineptitude has failed several time to provoke. And our fuckwit leaders have been helping so the seeds of their own nations’ destruction. FFS.

Without American leadership, democracy is in peril? Not really.
Much of the corporate propaganda spouting mainstream media are forecasting a bad outcome from the current chaose in Ukraine, with ISIS aka ISIL aka Islamic State in Syria and Iraq and with other local conflicts that are part of a cultural war. The consensus is that the west is currently not winning because of the failure of American leadership. This is untrue, most of the problems exist because America is leading the world towards war.

Lib Dems Collective Insanity

I left the Liberal Party when they merges with the Social Democrats, a bunch of extreme Marxists who thought they were moderate because they loved immigrants more than native born British people, loved gays more that hets, loved the single European superstate more than their own back yard and thought it was more important to throw money at brutal African dictators that investing in our own infrastructure.

In other words the Social Democrats were typical elitist, left – wing twunts but more so. And as a Liberal though many of my principles were in line with socialism, I was totally opposed to all forms of elitism and privilege and hated authoritarianism so could not be a socialist. Many Liberals were insane but they were not collectivists, being very big on individual freedom.

Now alas, corrupted by the Social Democrats, the Lib Dems have embraced the worst aspects of socialism by becoming elitist and going collectively insane.

A party policy document called Making Migration Work for Britain, drawn up by a committee of senior party members chaired by MP and former Lib Dem minister Sir Andrew Stunell is to be discussed at the party’s spring conference in York this weekend.

It raves, “The current level of benefit payments for asylum seekers “has not risen in line with inflation or other benefits since 2008, causing asylum seekers to be increasingly worse off. Uprating asylum benefits would allow asylum seekers a modest, but more humane, subsistence in the UK. argues that restrictions on asylum seekers taking jobs should be relaxed.”

The document also alleges the thousands of claimants for refugee status awaiting a decision on whether or not they can stay in the UK are becoming “increasingly worse off” under the current rules”.

The Lib Dem demand for more cash for the kind of migrants who come to Britain illegally and claim asylum on the grounds that “back home the coppers look at me a bit funny” provoked anger last night and fuelled the growing row between the party and its Tory Coalition partners.

The document, called Making Migration Work for Britain, is to be discussed at the Lib Dems’ spring conference in York this weekend. Little Nicky Machiavelli says there is only one way to make migration work for Britain. We should restrict inward migration to people who are well educated, can speak good English and have useful skills or are female and good looking (just stuck that in to piss off the feminists :> )

Andas for asylum seeking, we should reopen the loony bins and encourage Liberal Democrats to seek asylum in them.

Micawbernomics: A Gift Of Wise Advice To Politicians And Economists

Question the received wisdom of socialist and ‘compassionate conservative’ politicians and economics academics that the only way out of the financial mess is higher taxes and more government spending and they will get on their high horse to explain that you are only revealing your economic ignorance – and like comedy cowboys fall right off on the other side.

The new American Fascism

Little Nicky is back – it has been a difficult few months but we will keep up regular posts now even if most of them relate to articles on other blogs.

The first is from a source that might surprise some people. Throughout 2008 while watching the American election unfold I found that I, a British news junkie whose politcs are classical liberal socially and a democratic socialist economically, had more in common with some well informed commentators of the American enlightened right than with the U.S. Democrats. Well I’m not a fan of politically correct thinking, feel that “affirmative action” is an injustice – and two injustices do not make justice in fact to be honest I can’t quite forgive the “east coast Liberals” among the US Democrats for working so hard to raise funds for the IRA. While I supported the cause of a united Ireland the methods used by some organisations to try and achieve that goal were abhorrent.
(Equally abhorrent were the tactics of the “loyalists” of course)

Anyway I had a lot more sympathy with the stuff people like Jeff Schreiber of America’s Right blog were saying and writing than I did with either the rantings of the Rabid Right or followers of the cult of The Obamessiah. As criticism of Barack Obama was (and still is) not tolerated on many left leaning American sites I stopped visiting and read blogs that were well informed, balanced and well written even if I did not agree with many of the ideas expressed.

Today Jeff introduced a guest writer who gave probably the best and most insightful analyses of the economic crisis in America, it’s causes and and likely outcomes.

The writer identifies a worrying trend hidden behind the mask of globalisation, a tend that I have noticed and commented on many times here. He describes it as The New Supra American Fascism, an aspect of a global hegemony and the national bureaucratic dictatorships that transcends national and cultural boundaries and is taking away out civic freedoms and through educational policies that lead to dumbing down and social policies that increasingly isolate us and fragment traditional communities is paving the way for a new authoritarianism that rules not through the agency of jackbooted thugs but through control of information.
