Sodium Bicarbonate: Can something so mundane really cure cancer and treat diabetes

A cure for cancer has been the holy grail of medical research for decades. Or perhaps it would be truer to say a treatment for cancer that is moderately effective for patients and highly effective as a profit driver for Big Pharma and the healthcare industry.

The real case is that reports based on properly conducted studies keep emerging that a simple, effective and cheap has been suppress by big business and scientists for a long time now. Your doctor will never tell you about it however, because it costs next to nothing.

Read more, including an embedded article reporting more recent research confirming the effectivness of Sodium bicarbonate.

Monsanto, The World’s Most Evil Corporation

Monsanto’s Genetically Modified Tomato Of Death – Waking Times

Corporate power is out of control, corporate finance owns the political systems of the free politicised systems of healthcare, justice, education, employment and the media. It is futile to talk of accountability, there was a time when those who owned businesses, even the huge, global businesses, could be held responsible for what was done in their name. Henry Ford and his descendents owned a controlling interest Ford Motors, Samuel Courtald and his family owned Courtalds Textiles, the Rockefellers owned Standard Oil, the Agnelli’s owned Italy’s giant Fiat company and people named Krupp owned Krupps engineering in Germany. you get the picture?

When I was studying economics and commerce in the 1960s there was a book, a business directory, titled Who Owns Whom. It told those with an interest things like, Brooke Bond Leibig, owners of the Brooke Bond Tea brand also owned Fray Bentos corned beef or that the Lever family firm, Unilever’s interests included Soap Powder, Coffee, Personal Hygiene products, Margarine, Ice cream, sausages and lubricants. Such a volume would be useless now, it is impossible to tell who owns anything, in the corporate and banking environment every company owns every other company. So labyrinthine is the cross ownership that it is quite possible that Corporation A which owns a controlling interest in Corporation B is in fact owned by Corporation B through Corporation B’s holdings in Corporation X and Corporation Y.

In such an environment is it surprisingp the mega cororations are out of control. One Corporate entity above all others has, however, consistently outperformed its rivals in cynical disregard for the environment and the wellbeing of humanity. Monsanto shamelessly, proudly perhaps, wears the crown as “most evil corporation on Earth!”

Fair plsy to them, even now Monsanto is not content to simply rest upon its laurels, to sit atop a plinth inscried with the words “Look on my works, you mighty and despair,*” as it surveys a vast field of skulls and rotting corpses, the corporate are focused as keenly as ever on newer, more scientifically innovative ways to harm the planet and all its people in the pursuit of corporate power and profits.
As true champions of evil, they won’t stop until … they won’t stop, unless we stop them by boycotting their products, voting out of office the politicians why try to give them immunity from prosecution in connection with the harm their scientifically innovative (and often untested) products may cause, or help them bully peasant farmers into a kind of serfdom by passing laws decreeing that naturally produced seed may not be grown or upholding patent violation lawsuits brought when natural crops are accidentally pollinated by pollens from Monsanto’s genetically modified seed stock. Ye, all these things have happened.

But who are Monsanto and how did they learn to get away with being so obscenely evil in the first place? Here’s a history of the Monsanto Corporation – I warn you however, it is far more gruesome than a series of Game Of Thrones.

The Cheap Cancer Treatment you Doctor Will Never Offer

A cure for cancer has been the Holy Grail of medical science for over half a century. Wealth, fame, and deification awaited the doctors who found the elusive cure we were told.

But did it, thanks to all the sacremongering the spectre of cancer turned the disease (or diseases, because it is not just one disease which is why no magic bullet or core all pill has been found) into a monster we all feared. Thus cancer became a huge money spinner for the drug makers of the Big Pharma cartel and those who made a very good living out of the quack medicines and “slash, burn poison” therapies.

How would you feel if there was a highly effective cure that is never discussed because it is cheap and you probably have some in your kitchen right now?

Tullio Simoncini (1951) is a doctor based in Rome who specialises in oncology, diabetology and in metabolic disorders (cancer tresearch and treatments to us laymen). Dr. Simoncini has a track record for opposing the type of intellectual conformity demanded by the academic community and enforced by the media, which, he says, is often based on suppositions without foundation or worse, on lies and falsities.

This is no ordinary book about the perils of GMO: Seeds of Destruction: The Diabolical World of Genetic Manipulation

“Control the oil, and you control nations. Control the food, and you control the people.”* -Henry Kissinger

“Seeds of Destruction: The Hidden Agenda of Genetic Manipulation” by F. William Engdahl is a skillfully researched book that focuses on how a small socio-political American elite seeks to establish control over the very basis of human survival: the provision of our daily bread.

This is no ordinary book about the perils of GMO. Engdahl takes the reader inside the corridors of power, into the backrooms of the science labs, behind closed doors in the corporate boardrooms. The author cogently reveals a diabolical world of profit-driven political intrigue, government corruption and coercion, where genetic manipulation and the patenting of life forms are used to gain worldwide control over food production. If the book often reads as a crime story, that should come as no surprise. For that is what it is.

Engdahl’s carefully argued critique goes far beyond the familiar controversies surrounding the practice of genetic modification as a scientific technique. The book is an eye-opener, a must-read for all those committed to the causes of social justice and world peace.

What follows is the Preface to ”Seeds of Destruction: The Hidden Agenda of Genetic Manipulation” by F. William Engdahl available from Global Research

The Best foods for protein are not those you have been told

Another group of scientists proved to be crooks and liars interested more in promoting the profits or corporations that provide their funding? Well that’s the way it looks as evidence mounts that intensively farmed produce, particularly meat and dairy goods are not as rich in nutrients as when our ancestors ate meat and milk or cheese from naturally grazed cattle or eggs from free range hens. As usual, its all about money in the twenty first century. Time to reclaim our humanity?

But guess what, meat, eggs and dairy food groups, all produced mainly by heavily industrialised intensive farming are the best foods for boosting the profits of Big Agriculture, Big Food and the chemicals corporations that make fertilizers, pesticides, veterinary medicines and other products used in the production of high protein food.

Big Energy Kleptomaniacs Double Profits

This week as millions thousands hundreds a few Daily Mail readers prepare to celebrate the life and achievements of Margaret Hilda Thatcher a story in the Guardian brought to mind that one of Maggie’s great achievements was the privatisation of the energy industry.

Now the nationalised energy suppliers, The CEGB and British Gas may have been incompetent, bureaucratic, moribund and resistant to change butthey were not theiving scumbags.

To be fair, the electricity and Gas suppliers that emerged after Maggie’s privatisation were not too bad. It too a Labour government to truly fuck things up by letting Krauts, Eyeties, Yanks, Crapauds and any old Tom Dick and Hari Krishna follower buy British energy companies. Not just buy shares in but buy total ownership of.

Any good Briton knows you can’t trust Johnny foreigner, especially when he’s in a position to say “You-a either pay-a da price we set or you don’t-a get no more-a da gas and lekkitric, capisce?”

Nobody therefore should be surprised to learn that energy companies are doubling profits while selling less gas and electricity. The way the energy business works is very similar to the way The Olive Oil business works.

from The Guardian:
BIG SIX ENERGY FIRMS ACCUSED OF COLD BLOODED PROFITEERING
The big six energy suppliers have been accused of “cold-blooded profiteering” after official figures showed they had more than doubled their retail profit margins over the last 18 months and were now earning an average of £95 profit per household on dual-fuel bills.

The industry regulator Ofgem, which produced the estimates, said profits per household would reach £100 over the next 12 months.

Other new figures obtained from British Gas, EDF and the four other suppliers showed their profit margin from power generation – a separate part of the business – averaged more than 24% in 2011. They are believed to have risen since.

The escalating earnings were condemned by fuel poverty campaigners, rival energy companies and the shadow energy secretary, Caroline Flint.

Dirty Electricity

There is a capitalist myth gaining currency that electricity is “clean energy.” When we are sucking the watts out of sockets or batteries it is clean enough of course, no columns of yellowy grey smoke rising from tall chimneys, no nasty oily smell as of exhaust fumes from internal combustion engines.

That might seem to confirm the claims of commercial operations promoting the virtues of the electric car or electrical home heating systems but think again. Electricity is not a clean fuel, most of the electric power used for domestic and industrial purposes is generated by burning coal, oil or gas. Power stations are the biggest emitters of CO2 and NO2, running 24/7, pumping these pollutant gases into the atmosphere.

Plus your Prius into the main supply and you can feel virtuous, the generating plant that produced the electricity flowing into your batteries is well away from town so out of sight, out of mind. But the power station is not the only source of pollution drivers of electric cars should be aware of the environmental impact of manufacturing and disposing of Nickel Metal – Hydride (NiMH) batteries. both are absolutely filthy processes. Lithium – Ion batteries would be a better option but for the scarcity of lithium and the abundance of people who want to own cars.

Still, so long as the batteries are not manufactured in our back yard the public relations peoples’ job in persuading us to scrap our perfectly good conventional cars and buy new hybrids or electric cars. We can continue to be concerned without actually changing our lifestyles.

Clean generation systems are the answer but what does The Great Conspiracy come up with? Carbon Capture Systems. Even if the technology works it only succeeds in moving the problem out of sight.

Nuclear power from fission offers CO2 free electricity but pollutes in other ways. So much for electricity being a clean fuel. It is time we stopped letting the media and the evangelists for free market solutions divert attention from the grim realities. As things stand we have no reliable and environmentally friendly way of providing the electricity modern societies need. And the effing Government are pratting about with windmills.

Nuclear fusion would seem to provide and answer but research has not progressed much in the last fifty years.

We will only have abundant clean energy when we are prepared to elect Governments that are not slaves to big business and big finance, that will not prioritise the profit factor but sink public money and human resources into developing power generation technologies that utilise genuinely reliable and sustainable sources, the Sun, tides, river flow.

Not Fear Of Flying But Loathing Of Airports.

Whenever I say I hate flying people assume I have a phobia about being in the air. This is not so, I love being up in ‘planes. Its great to look at the earth below, laid out like a map. Flying into London at night once I was lucky enough to be in a window seat on the right of the aircraft and could see the lights of docklands and the West End. The sight was beautiful. Going over mountain peaks such as those of the Alps or Pyrenees is unforgettable . The approach to Stockholm Arlanda over the archipelago offers a spectacle that could never be seen from the ground and flying into New York is just incredible. Being up in the air is a wonderful experience, and even more exciting in small aircraft. Its having to negotiate airports that makes flying shite.
It was no surprise then to hear the airport experience coming in for some heavy criticism. The problem is the profit motive. I first flew in the 1960s, before terrorism, cheap flights and profiteering spoiled everything. There were duty free shops but not on anything like the same scale, no fashion outlets or luxury goods stores, the restaurants were either mediocre or excellent depending on one’s means and the purpose of the airport was to process people through the formalities of crossing national borders and on or off the aircraft with minimum fuss. Airports were usually owned or regulated by municipalities or national government. Their function was to facilitate travel not to part travellers from as much cash as possible. The safety, comfort and convenience of passengers was paramount.

Now of course, in this era of “market economics,” the “passenger experience,” while much talked about in PR presentations must always take a back seat to the profit motive.

We live in dangerous times and some inconvenience for the sake of security is acceptable. What is not acceptable is the inconvenience and delay due to airports trying to cope with far more passengers than they are equipped to handle or just deliberately keep passengers hanging around so they will spend more money.

Put airports back under the control of municipal authorities or national governments and things will change.

The closet Maggie Thatcher fans will be at my throat for saying that of course, but the results of passenger surveys comparing customer satisfaction at Manchester (council owned) and Heathrow ( private enterprise) settles the case. And Manchester is far from perfect. And on a personal note, Sweden may be a land of loony socialists as far as the Maggie brigade are concerned but the airport at Stockholm (owned by the city) is absolutely wonderful.

Until the profit motive is brought under control I shall keep remining myself there is far more that is worth seeing in places reachable by car ferry or tunnel than one could ever see in a single lifetime.

Machiavelli on tour

After severe network problems for almost a month Little Nicky has been able to resume his world tour.

Yesterday brought me to a great article about how the western obession with free market economics has led to situations in which humanitarian disaters have been turned into business opportunities by corporate interests with the collusion of governments. Its a subject the Machiavelli blog will be picking up on but meanwhile check out the original story
