Lib Dems Collective Insanity

I left the Liberal Party when they merges with the Social Democrats, a bunch of extreme Marxists who thought they were moderate because they loved immigrants more than native born British people, loved gays more that hets, loved the single European superstate more than their own back yard and thought it was more important to throw money at brutal African dictators that investing in our own infrastructure.

In other words the Social Democrats were typical elitist, left – wing twunts but more so. And as a Liberal though many of my principles were in line with socialism, I was totally opposed to all forms of elitism and privilege and hated authoritarianism so could not be a socialist. Many Liberals were insane but they were not collectivists, being very big on individual freedom.

Now alas, corrupted by the Social Democrats, the Lib Dems have embraced the worst aspects of socialism by becoming elitist and going collectively insane.

A party policy document called Making Migration Work for Britain, drawn up by a committee of senior party members chaired by MP and former Lib Dem minister Sir Andrew Stunell is to be discussed at the party’s spring conference in York this weekend.

It raves, “The current level of benefit payments for asylum seekers “has not risen in line with inflation or other benefits since 2008, causing asylum seekers to be increasingly worse off. Uprating asylum benefits would allow asylum seekers a modest, but more humane, subsistence in the UK. argues that restrictions on asylum seekers taking jobs should be relaxed.”

The document also alleges the thousands of claimants for refugee status awaiting a decision on whether or not they can stay in the UK are becoming “increasingly worse off” under the current rules”.

The Lib Dem demand for more cash for the kind of migrants who come to Britain illegally and claim asylum on the grounds that “back home the coppers look at me a bit funny” provoked anger last night and fuelled the growing row between the party and its Tory Coalition partners.

The document, called Making Migration Work for Britain, is to be discussed at the Lib Dems’ spring conference in York this weekend. Little Nicky Machiavelli says there is only one way to make migration work for Britain. We should restrict inward migration to people who are well educated, can speak good English and have useful skills or are female and good looking (just stuck that in to piss off the feminists :> )

Andas for asylum seeking, we should reopen the loony bins and encourage Liberal Democrats to seek asylum in them.

Illiberal Undemocratics

The Illiberal Undemocraticrty Pa, are poised to become as authoritarian as their neo Nazi chums in the Labour party. Following in the footsteps of the world’s most powerful liberal fascist Mayor Bloomberg of New York the Illib Undems are taking up the mantle of the anti-coke war in Britain. At the upcoming party conference, the party formerly known as the Lib Dems will argue for the need for a fizzy-drink tax, presumably on the predictable grounds that it will ‘combat obesity’ while raising tax revenue. But, in reality, this is an attempt to use taxation as a means to change people’s consumption habits by imposing a sin tax.

This type of fascism (we are imposing our will on you by force to save you from your own folly)which I have previously dubbed Populist Authoritarianism is not just typical of the Lib Dems and those other “progressives” in; it is quite popular with the conservatives too, and increasingly with politicians all around the free world too. All generally seem to agree that we need high taxes on alcohol and tobacco, not to mention plastic bags.

Traditionally, the soft socialism of centre-left political parties led to a desire to subsidise via taxation the goods that people consumed daily, making them cheaper and easier to purchase. The idea was that as the rich paid most tax and some of that revenue helped poorer people to enjoy a few indulgences the greatest good of the greatest number was achieved Now however, parties like the Lib Dems are more concerned with raising the prices of certain goods in order that people make politically correct lifestyle choices i.e. the choices of people who are members of the neo fascist Liberal Democrat party.

The hypocrisy of these smug scumsuckers is nauseating.

Liberal Democrats Bourgeois Angst

The Liberal Democrats and their leaders Nick Clegg have been getting a lot of flak over the issue of university tuition fees this past week. It has even been leaked that the party planned to drop their pledges on tuition fees before the election.

The Guardian reported:

The Liberal Democrats were drawing up plans to abandon Nick Clegg’s flagship policy to scrap university tuition fees two months before the general election, secret party documents reveal.

As the Lib Dem leader faces a growing revolt after this week’s violent protest against fee rises, internal documents show the party was drawing up proposals for coalition negotiations which contrasted sharply with …
Lib Dems Planned To Drop Tuition Fees Pledge

The amount of rage being hurled at Nick Clegg and other Liberal Democrat ministers in the coalition government by labour-lefie-loonies and by their own party members is as amusing as it is irrational. The first thing we should note is that none of us at The Daily Stirrer (and we’ve all been round the block a few times) can recall Labour members ever being so vitriolic towards their own party in government when the wishful thinking of campaign promises has to give way to the harsh realities of government.

The left has a long tradition of hypocrisy of course, look how they rant and rave about abolishing private education and yet how many among the Labour elite send their children to private schools or, every bit as bad, to faith schools in expensive suburbs where the catchment area ensures a large majority of pupils will be from affluent middle class homes, the offspring of professional couples.

The angst of Liberal Democrats, while amusing to behold is worrying for people who wish the coalition government well and are hoping they survive long enough to really stop the tide of politically correct lunacy set in spate during thirteen years of Labour’s authoritarian rule. After ninety years of only dreaming of power, the Lib Dems, finally having put a fingertip on the levers of government are finding responsibility not to their taste.

When I was an active member of the Liberal Party one of the greatest frustrations for those of us who believed a common sense, non ideological approach to the everyday problems facing voters could really help achieve “the greatest good of the greatest number” was that faction of the party we referred to as the raffia mafia. These sandal wearing, tree hugging, lentil munching wierdies were far more concerned with being seen to be “nice” and “caring” than with facing up to reality, deciding what needed to be done and setting about doing it. Their utopian dreams marginalised the whole party.

It seems too many Lib Dems are still living in that bubble of unreality, too eager to show how much they care about education and the plight of poor students to face up to the reality that Labour’s rapid expansion of the higher education system was too great a burden for the education budget to bear. The aim was to have 50% of school leavers going to University. This is a totally unrealistic target. The country does not need and cannot find suitable jobs for so many graduates.

We have to get a sense of reality about this. Yes, the state should fund University tuition and provide support for students whose parents cannot subsidise them through three years of higher education. Having said that we must set a limit on the numbers we support through higher education so that the financial burden on the taxpayer does not become unsustainable. Everybody having the right to try for a University place should they get the grsdes does not mean everybody must be accepted.

It might seem harsh to some but let’s remember, Utopia is a fiction.

Clegg Tries To Reassure The Liberal Democrats

From BBC News
Nick Clegg will try to reassure Liberal Democrat members unhappy with the coalition, telling the party’s conference it is “the right government for right now”.

from the Daily Telegraph Clegg Warned Against Lib Dem Dictatorship

Thanks to the ill – advised merger of the Liberals with the Social Democrats and the plague of sentimentality that is corroding middle class intelligence the Liberal Democrat party was always going to experience this kind of discomfort. Liberals have no business dabbling in the type of populist authoritarianism embraced by the other parties.

It is fine but empty rhetoric to talk of building a fair society while standing outside the cancer ward of a Chidren’s hospital as Nick Clegg did durng the election campaign. What a pity the location, a place that demonstrates life will never be fair, mocked his words. It is fine but empty rhetoric to talk of tolerance while supporting laws that force us to tolerate the most intolerant extremities of minority and alien cultures. It is fine but empty rhetoric to talk of equality and liberty when the government does not understand the difference between equality and uniformity or liberty and freedom.

One society, one culture. A large society can accomodate many sub – cultures but one unifying principle must be adhered to. SAME RULES APPLY.

Little Nicky Machiavelli has been supportive of the coalition government so far, mainly because it did at least reflect the wish of the voters that one party, one set of interests, chould not be trusted to have overall control of the nation’s destiny.

The Liberal Democrats have shown at their conference they are not in the business of solving problems but instead are intent on spoonfeeding bullshit about fairness to the gullible. If the hand wringers and bleeding hearts of the Lib Dems can’t get their heads round the realities of governing and are prepared to carry out their threat to bring down the coalition the Conservatives could not govern alone and Labour could not form a ruling coaltion.

And if the are not pepared to carry out that threat but fail to support the coalition the party will be reduced to a pointless rump at the next election.

We might end up with David Cameron calling an election and campaigning on the slogan “Apres moi, le deluge.”

Can Lib Dems Stop Themselves Sailing Into The West

With Labour floundering on the rocks to sustain the nautical metaphor and the Conservatives still too tained with sleaze and incompetence to completely win over the voters the Liberal Democrats should be sailing a broad reach towards their goal of becoming a serious challenger for government.

But somehow the Liberal Democrats always display an uncanny knack for statching defeat from the jaws of victory.

For some reason they do well when the conservatives have been in power a while but when a Labour government is approaching its end days the Liberal Democrats cannot persuade disillusioned Labout votes from going all the way across the political divide and voting Tory.

In Sailing Into The West The Daily Stirrer suggests how the party might avoid being dispatched back to Devon and Cornwall as an irrelevant rump.
