We Predicted An Orwellian Nightmare. Now Obama’s Ministry Of Love Is Identified

Obama's Ministry Of Love
Is this Obama’s Orwellian ‘Ministry Of Love’ that has featured in aa report in The Guardian? (Image source, Zero Hedge)

Back in 2008 we predicted pretty accuratly how things would turn out under Predident Barack Obama. We were not totally correct (well we are aBritish site) but where we erred it was on the side of caution. For example while it was easy enough to be aware that the egomaniacal former rent boy would become an authoritarian and imperialistic ruler who would turn the USA into a racially, religiously, financially divided Orwellian dystopia, we considered it would be going too far to actually say; “This clown will create a Ministry of Love where dissidents can be ‘re-educated’ in politically correct, stoner philosophy.

In ‘1984’, George Orwell’s novel of life in a brutal, authoritarian dictatorship, The Ministry Of Love, housed in a black walled, windowless building, is where those suspected of ‘Thought Crimes’ against the regime. In the total surveillance society, where telecreens moniored what happened in every home while broadcasting propaganda constantly, and when family members were rewarded for spying on each other and no neighbour could ever be trusted, guilt of Thought Crime was established by evidence of people acting, speaking or thinking against the regime, but also if they did not show sufficient enthusiasm in their support of it or their hatred of its fictional enemies, the manufactured hate objects which the regime used to keep the population in a state of fear.

The Ministry Of Love awaited all those accused of Thought Crime; to be accused was to be proved guilty. Housed within The Ministry Of Love was the notorious Room 101

Now the Obama regime has brought the Ministry Of Love and very probably a version of Room 101 out of the realm of fiction and into reality.

A Secret “Black Site” Revealed In Chicago: “When You Go In, You Just Disappear”

from Zero Hedge:
Located in a nondescript warehouse on Chicago’s west side is where, according to the Guardian, one can find the domestic equivalent of a CIA “black site” – an illegal, off-the-books interrogation compound used by Chicago special police units, one which renders “Americans unable to be found by family or attorneys while locked inside”; a place whose former occupants say is where you end up when you are “disappeared”; a place which confirms that when it comes to the eternal “who is better – us or them” debate, there really is no difference: “It brings to mind the interrogation facilities they use in the Middle East. The CIA calls them black sites. It’s a domestic black site. When you go in, no one knows what’s happened to you.” It’s a Guantánamo and Abu Ghraib rolled into one. In short: it is a place where the US constitution and basic human rights have absolutely no access … [Read more]

As you can see from the picture, Obama’s Ministry Of Love does not quite fit Orwell’s description (a windowless. black building might attract too much attention on a suburban business park,) and we don’t know what name it has been given, but we can easily guess what goes on in there.

Iraq Civil War: I Told You So Again

When will you learn, all you nay sayers, when wil all those Ivory Tower dwelling academics and experts learn.

“We toppled the tyrant Saddam and broght freem’an’moxy (copyright George Dubya Bush) to Iraq they said.

Iraq will fragment and drift into tribal and secartian, many sided civil war Little Nicky Machiavelli said. Well having observed the baser instincts of human nature for over 500 years, us Machiavelli’s know a thing or two about tyranny, brutality and man’s inhumanity to man. And that is why, while being aware of how awful tyrants like Saddam, Gaddafi and Assad are, I knew that what was put in their place by the join-hands-and-sing-fucking-kumbaya brigade would be far worse.

FROM THE INDEPENDENT:

“Iraqi leaders fear that the country is sliding rapidly into a new civil war which “will be worse than Syria”. Baghdad residents are stocking up on rice, vegetables and other foodstuffs in case they are prevented from getting to the shops by fighting or curfews. “It is wrong to say we are getting close to a civil war,” said a senior Iraqi politician. “The civil war has already started.”

This is borne out by the sharp rise in the number of people killed in political violence in Iraq in April, with the UN claiming more than 700 people were killed last month, the highest monthly total for five years.

The situation has suddenly deteriorated since the killing of at least 36 Sunni Arab protesters at a sit-in in Hawijah on 23 April. An observer in Baghdad, who did not want to be named, said “ever since, Hawijah people are frightened of a return to the massacres of 2006”. She added that Sunni and Shia were avoiding going into each others’ areas. Signs of deteriorating security are everywhere. Al-Qa’ida showed its reach on Monday when five car bombs blew up in overwhelmingly Shia southern Iraq, leaving 21 dead. The Sunni fundamentalist group, which had a resurgence in 2012, is responsible for killing a majority of the almost 1,500 Iraqis who have died in political violence so far this year.

Its members are now able to roam freely in Anbar province where a year ago they were a secretive underground movement. In neighbouring Kirkuk, al-Qa’ida last week seized the town of Sulaiman Bec, shot the chief of police, stormed the police station and departed with their weapons after agreeing a truce with the Iraqi army.

Residents in Baghdad say that soldiers, whom they claim are Shia militiamen in uniform, have massed around Sunni enclaves in the city and are setting up checkpoints. Memories of the sectarian civil war in 2006 and 2007 when, in the worst months, some 3,000 people were butchered, may be exacerbating the sense of threat, but old fears are reawakening. Bombs have usually been directed against Shia in the past, but in recent weeks Sunni mosques and cafés are being targeted. “Before we could escape to Syria, but with the violence there where can we go?” asked one Iraqi. “There is no way out.” ”

I Would Do Anything To Get Assad Out Of Syria Says Cameron

Syrian president Bashar Assad could be allowed a free pass to flee his country if it would end the bloodshed, David Cameron said today. The Prime Minister said he would do ‘anything to get that man [Assad] out of the country’ but refused to offer Assad a safe haven in Britain.

Mr Cameron is on the second day of a tour of the Gulf and Middle East, where he has faced criticism for trying to sell UK arms to countries with questionable human rights records. Now there’s irony for you, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Jordan, Iraq, Iran and the Emirates criticizing us for doing business with countries that have poor records on human rights. Pity Maggie Thatcher gave away all our oil and we have to rely on those bastards.

Mr. Cameron has also publicly backed the Arab Spring uprisings, which began in Tunisia and also saw governments swept aside and replaced by undemocratic Islamist regimes in Libya, Egypt and Yemen. In Syria there have been bloody battles for more 18 months, with tens of thousands of protestors killed by government forces and tens of thousands of Assad supporters killed by bloodthirsty religious fanatics brave freedom fighters.

While the fighting continues in Syria the nation’s fate is expected to top the agenda for the two G20 leaders.

In an interview with Al Arabiya television the warmonger Cameron was asked what he would say if President Assad said he wanted a safe exit. He told : “Anything, anything to get that man out of the country and to have a safe transition to democracy in Syria.

Like all other western leaders, when it comes to foreign affairs Cameron is a cupid stunt for thinking the wests interests will be served by getting rid of the secular Muslim Assad and replacing him with a regime of Islamic fanatics who hate the west and want to impose Sharia law in their homelands. Getting rid of Mubarak in Egypt, Gaddafi in Libya and Saddam in Iraq has really turned those nations into beacons of democracy and enlightened liberal values hasn’t it?

Were Cameron to get his wish all it would mean is a brutal dictator would be gone. Syria would them simply descend into tribal and sectarian civil disorder.

Unless of course the New World Order get their wish and make Syria a colony of Greater Europe.

How The "Yooman Rights" Brigade Plan To Boot You Off The Internet

For years I have argued that the internet should accept some form of regulation to the extent only that everything posted ought to be identifiable to a source thus imposing the constraints of normal decency on people and curbing the criminal activity the world wide web has spawned.

You should have heard the wailing and gnashing of teeth from lefties and “yooman rights” campaigners about how this would curtail freedom. if you are familiar with how the left operates and how control freakery comes as naturally to them as sucking on a tit comes to a mammilian baby you might have found this commitment to freedom a bit suspect. After all the only freedom the left have ever been concerned with is their own freedom to Impose their ideals and values on the rest of us (by force if necessary).

It should come as no surprise then that the left’s commitment to internet freedom lasted only as long as it took them to come up with a way to get independent websites and blogs off the cybersphere and ensure that we could see ONLY officially approved propaganda. Hat tip to Anna Raccoon for bringing this to my attention.

Last month in a little noticed case in the US, a Federal Judge made a ruling that has implications for us all. We may think that the truly sensitive and the terminally offended have been making inroads into the freedom of the Internet, but they are piffling flea bites compared to the implications of this case.

What the ruling – that the Internet is ‘a place of public accommodation’ – boils down to in plain English is that the Internet has the same status as a Public House, your local council offices, Disneyland, the O2 Arena, and anywhere else you can think of that has to comply with disabled accessibility legislation. It will be your responsibility to ensure that the blind reader has a voice over of your hastily crafted howl of anger at the latest government outrage, that the deaf have suitable sub-titles on your YouTube efforts, and one can only presume, that the terminally stupid have a simplified version in words of one syllable, to ensure that everyone has an ‘enjoyable and enriching experience’ when they land on your blog.

The lawyers are sharpening their quills already, for it matters not that you are penning your anguished prose from a bed sit in Bridlington – your reader may well be a one eyed Albanian asylum seeker in the US, libel law has long since established precedent that if he can access your words in the US, then you are publishing in the US, regardless of where your ‘server’ is.

Could YouTube be obligated to close-caption videos on the site? (This case seems to leave that door open.) Could every website using Flash have to redesign their sites for browsers that read the screen? I’m not creative enough to think of all the implications, but I can assure you that ADA plaintiffs’ lawyers will have a long check list of items worth suing over. Big companies may be able to afford the compliance and litigation costs, but the entry costs for new market participants could easily reach prohibitive levels.

One common argument for imposing accessibility obligations on physical businesses is that it is unrealistic to expect the disabled to simply ‘go somewhere else’ if the nearest business can’t accommodate their needs. The Internet doesn’t have territorial limitations – by extending this ruling to the Internet, the lawyers are in effect saying that everyone must make every part of their ‘public life’ accessible to anyone who wishes, worLd wide, to partake of the opportunity.

Now I don’t expect this to affect Joe Bloggs blogging from his back room in Bridlington overnight – but it doesn’t require too much imagination to realise that if Google get sued for failing to provide a voice over on their political blogs, they will immediately refuse to host any blog that doesn’t comply. Netfix, the company which the American Association for the Deaf successfully sued for failing to provide sub-titles on the videos which they streamed, may be able to afford the costly technology to comply with this ruling, individual bloggers won’t. Netfix may respond by not hosting movies which don’t carry sub-titles, I would expect Google to take the same route.

Now as Anna says this law willl not be enforced right away to make sure we bloggers, contributors and site owners provide access to a braille translator or a text to voice converter so that your partially sighted visitors can have access to our rants, pithy observations, homilies, philosiphizing, self indulgent rambles and scintillating prose. but once the “yooman rights” brigade find a site that challenges their prejudices and does not conform to these requirements there is not much doubt about which way a court verdict will go.

The answer of course is we can all ignore the law and work on the prinbiciple that they can’t put us all in prison. “OK, but what if they decide to put me in prison to make an example of somebody?” you might well ask.

Simples. At the first sign of trouble take your stuff offline. Back it all up and find yourself a host that operates its servers from Andorra, Costa Rica or some such place that does not have any serious libel laws. Pay with your paypal account. Use a proxy server such as Anonymouse and rebuild your website using a pseudonym to disguisE your authorship (something like Aethelred-Naggernunk is good)

Then the “yooman rights” lawyers can spend their time chasing shadows while you concentrte on building links to your site and getting your ideas out to the widest possible audience and promote the cause of free thinking against the dark forces of “progressiveism”.

Internet access as a human right?

“Almost four in five people around the world believe that access to the internet is a fundamental right, a poll for the BBC World Service suggests.
The survey – of more than 27,000 adults across 26 countries – found strong support for net access on both sides of the digital divide.

Countries such as Finland and Estonia have already ruled that access is a human right for their citizens.

International bodies such as the UN are also pushing for universal net access.”

Here is another example of how the Politically Correct Thought Police skew their case.

Just step back from this a moment and think it through. In most nations anyone who can afford the equipment needed to support internet access can access the internet.

The kind of nations that restrict internet access are not likely to change their position because of a BBC survey the outcome of which was determined by asking questions that prompted the required response.

The majority of people who do not have internet access have more urgent priorities such as getting enough food, adequate shelter and clean water to drink. They might also be concerned with the problem of dodging the guys with AK47s.

So when we look at it from that perspective lack of internet access is not such a big deal perhaps

Another Facebook Suicide

In a week in which the ever more fickle mainstream media have been heaping praise on Facebook simply because somebody who it either an idiot or an evil control freak is willing to pay around $25billion for this site that has never made a penny in profit despite its (very dubious) claims to have 600 million users worldwide and has no busimess model other than encouraging people to become addicted to the ‘virtual’ lifestyle it offers and thus abandon real life, we are saddened by this story of another Facebook suicide
