Life In Libya Worse Than Under Gadaffi Say Evacuees

gaddafi libya
Muammar ‘Mad Dog’ Gaddafi maintained a brutal kind of social order in Libya

Occasionally we have the great good fortune to stumple upon a fully paid up, card carry member of the Idiots Association. There’s one visits my threads occasionally, usually announcing that he ‘works in a university’ as if that make his opinions more valuable than those of us who live and work in the real world and deal with its harsh realities every day, rather than spending our lives cocooned in the embrace of a cloistered environment.

His most recent contribution was to accuse me of being gullible enough to believe Russian propaganda about the downing of Flight MH17 over Ukraine. You can see for yourselves that my post What The Media Is Not Writing About MH17 did not say that I believe the Russians, only that I doubt the hastily composed narrative put out by the American Government claiming they had irrefutable evidence that Russia was directly involved. A position that has now been proved correct by the American government’s failure to supply any evidence and actually backing of from their position of blaming Russia. (look at the comment thread to see the guy wrigging rather than admit he’d been wrong again.)

Apparently the idea that in the absence of evidence there may be more than two possible answers to a problem is apparently too complex for those who work in higher education. We may assume however from this person’s belief that everything is either back or white that he has not heard of Fifty Shades Of Gray.

An earlier intervention from him, on a post in which I justified my opposition to military intervention in Libya by pointing out that the rabble of gangsters and warlords that passed for government after the fall of Gaddafi was worse than when the old Mad Dog was in power.

Our colleague jumped in to say that I could not seriously be suggesting that what existed in Libya under Gadaffi could be called law and order. Well all things are relative (another concept too difficult for the intellectual left)and yes, there was a brutal kind of order under Gadaffi as there was in Syria before the west sponsored a rebellion against Assad).

And what do the people of Libya have to endure now you might well ask?

from AFP via AsiaOne News

Libya is descending into a civil war spiral that is “much worse” than the unrest that toppled its dictator Moamar Gaddafi in 2011, residents fleeing the country said Saturday.

“We have gone through (war) before, with Gaddafi, but now it’s much worse,” Paraskevi Athineou, a Greek woman living in Libya, told AFP.

“Chaos reigns. There is no government, we have no food, no fuel, no water, no electricity for hours on end,” she said.

Athineou was part of a group of 186 people evacuated from Tripoli by a Greek navy frigate which reached the port of Piraeus early on Saturday.

In addition to 77 Greek nationals, there were 78 Chinese, 10 Britons, 12 Cypriots, seven Belgians, one Albanian and a Russian.

Among them were several diplomats, including the Chinese ambassador to Libya.

Libya has suffered chronic insecurity since Gaddafi’s overthrow in 2011, with the new government unable to check militias that helped to remove him and facing a growing threat from Islamist groups.

“So many people died to make the country better. But now we started killing each other in a civil war,? said Osama Monsour, a 35-year-old employed at a non-governmental organisation in Tripoli.

Fighting between rival militias in Tripoli has forced the closure of the city’s international airport, while Islamist groups are also battling army special forces in the eastern city of Benghazi.

“War is in the city… and we civilians are under fire from both sides,” Athineou said.

“It is worse than 2011,” said Ali Gariani, a Libyan married to a Greek woman.

“That time were were being bombed by NATO. But now we are being bombed by the Libyans themselves, and that is really shameful,” he said.

As always I was right. Sadly with mainstream news media in the west becoming more of a government / corporate propaganda machine with every week that goes by, it often takes a while for events to prove me right.

So I wonder how many Libyans will have to die before our leftie friends will climb down off their high horse, start blaming the FUKUS axis and taking it leading from behind’ Obama for this mess. When they have done that they can admit they were wrong and then fuck the fucking fuck off back to their ivory towers, leaving the thinking to grown ups.

Airstrike wipes out Ukraine Apartment Block Killing 11 Civilians

An airstrike in eastern Ukraine sent an apartment building crumpling to the ground Tuesday, killing at least 11 people and adding to the steadily mounting civilian death toll from the fighting between government forces and pro-Russian insurgents.

Rebels pinned the attack on the Ukrainian air force. The government swiftly denied blame but was not immediately able to offer an alternative explanation.

The bombing in the rebel-held town of Snizhne demonstrated how airstrikes and heavy rocket fire are becoming increasingly common as the conflict drags into its fourth month. The attack comes one day after a Ukrainian military transport plane was shot down in disputed circumstances.

The devastation in Snizhne bore signs of a strike by several missiles and left only a mountain of smoking debris. The four-story apartment block appeared to have been hit in two separate spots, causing the collapse of several tiers. A nearby house was also destroyed.

Resident Igor Chernetsov lost his wife in the attack. “I heard an explosion, and suddenly I was thrown out of the apartment, out of the fourth floor,” said Chernetsov, his head swathed in a bandage. “I woke up covered in dust and had no idea what had happened.”

Health officials in the Donetsk region, which includes Snizhne, provided the number of dead. Rescue workers pulled a small child with broken legs alive from the rubble as grieving residents sifted for belongings. An Associated Press reporter counted six large impact craters.

FUKUS axis acting as shills for war again.

News channels and print media in Britain, Europe and the USA have been full of reports, allegedly sourced from people on the ground in Ukraine, that Russia was building a large military presence in eastern Ukraine, ready for an invasion of the territory.

The push for was is being led by the US military / industrial complext of course, paymasters of The Rent Boy President Barack Hussein Obama must have nearly exhausted their patience with him due to his repeated failures to deliver the major regional conflict in the middle east that he was apparently shoe horned into The White House to generate for them.

Now however, people in Britain and Europe and even some, at great personal risk, in the USA are breaking ranks and telling the truth:

EU spy chief rules out Russian military presence in Ukraine

from Russia Today

There is no large Russian military presence in East Ukraine, head of EU intelligence, Commodore Georgij Alafuzoff, has said. The spy chief has dismissed multiple accusations from the West alleging Russian involvement in the unrest in the region.

In an interview with Finnish national news broadcaster, Yle, Alafuzoff said the Russian military had nothing to do with the seizing of government buildings in eastern Ukraine.

“In my opinion, it’s mostly people who live in the region who are not satisfied with the current state of affairs,” said Alafuzoff, referring to the situation in East Ukraine. He went on to say that the people are worried for the welfare of those who speak Russian as their first language in the region. Continue reading

Humiliation for Ukraine’s troops as armoured vehicles are SEIZED by pro-Russian militants

from The Daily Mail

Ukraine’s offensive against separatists in the east of the country got off to a disastrous start today, with Kiev admitting its armoured vehicles had been seized by pro-Russian militants.

A column of armoured personnel carriers arrived in the rebel-held city of Slavyansk flying Russian flags, carrying men claiming to be Ukrainian soldiers who had switched allegiance.

The defence ministry in Kiev this afternoon then confirmed that vehicles had been captured in the flashpoint area of Kramatorsk.

‘A column was blocked by a crowd of local people in Kramatorsk with members of a Russian diversionary-terrorist group among them,’ it said. ‘As a result, extremists seized the equipment. Continue reading

China Warns Obama “US Is Moving In A Direction We Don’t Want To See”

Dispensing with the usual diplomatic language of nuanced bollocks, the Chinese government have been speaking unusually directly to US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel as he tries to smooth the ground ahead of the Rent Boy President’s Asia trip later this month (scheduled to visit Japan, Malaysia, and the Philippines – all in direct territorial conflicts with China). Reuters reports, “Obama needs to pay serious consideration to this issue when he comes to Asia… China has already put this message across during the meetings with Hagel,” Ruan Zongze, a former diplomat with the China Institute of International Studies in Beijing said. “The United States is moving in a direction we don’t want to see, taking sides with Japan and the Philippines, and China is extremely unhappy about this.”

So All Quiet On The Western Front for a few days, but things are popping out east.

Ukraine failed: War With Syria Is Back On The Agenda

What goes around comes around, only faster and faster it seems.

The Syria conflict has been on the back burner since the false flag incident that was supposed to be the trigger for all out war by the FUKUS axis on the Assad regimes was revealed to be dodgier than a nine pound note staked in a rigged card game.

The USA, abandoned by britain due to public pressure, but still half heartedly supported by the Euronazis of Brussels turned its regime change ambitions on Ukraine. Politically and economically weak, strategically important, it seemed a natural target for destabilisation by external powers with the aim of steering the nation into the EU and NATO.

Unfortunately the Russians had not forgotten a treaty signed some time ago by which the western powers agreed not to try to pull any former Soviet Republics into the EU or NATO in retrun for Russia’s agreeing not to obstruct the path of those nations to democracy.

American President Barack Hussein Obama, Mr.Hopeanchange has a track record for rejecting the validity of any treaty signed before he became President in 2008, just as he has rejected all US laws (including the constitution) passed by congress before he was elected. Sidi Obama may thing that’s how it works but Russian leader Vladimir Putin doesn’t. And while Obama talked about drawing red lines Putin said, “Tread on my toes pal and you are borscht.

And the Chinese said “Yeah, and chow mein too.”

So now it seems war with Syria is back at the top of the agenda. Only this time the Americans hope they have found a more reliable proxy than the human organ noshing religious fanatics who fought and lost the first part of the campaign against Assad.

From Zero Hedge:

Turkish Political and Military Leaders ADMIT to Planning False Flag Terror to Justify a War with Syria

In a leak that is apparently the revelation of another attempt by the FUKUS axis to instigate military action by western power on Syrian soil, a video posted to YouTube from an anonymous source allegedly provides the audio recording of Turkish intelligence Chief Hakan Fidan, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, and Deputy Chief of Military Staff Yasar Guler as well as other top Turkish officials discussing a possible attack on Syria.

The operation, had it gone ahead, would have been publicly predicated on the basis of “securing the tomb of Suleyman Shah,” the grandfather of the founder of the Ottoman empire. As Reuters reports, “Ankara regards the tomb as sovereign Turkish territory under a treaty signed with France in 1921, when Syria was under French rule. About two dozen Turkish special forces soldiers permanently guard it.”

As a result, Turkish authorities have moved to block access to YouTube, describing the recording as “villainous,” and a “wretched attack” on national security. This reaction has lent even more credence to the veracity of the recordings.

We cannot confirm the reports but we can tel you Turkey blocked access to youTube after the leak.

We Haven’t Mentioned Libya For A Bit – Time For A Quick Look

Little Nicky Machiavelli’s blog seems to have become the place for reporting war and civil conflict in Jenny Greenteeth’s ever expanding media empire. While our attention has been focused on Syria, Mali, Ukraine and other places we have not forgotten the first domino to fall in the global elite’s war on national sovereignty, Libya.

Though you may not have heard much from Libya in mainstream media, this does not mean that in the wake of a FUKUS axis regime change campaign of bombing and supplying weapons to psychopaths which brought down the unpleasant but effective Gaddafi regime, an Obama worshipping, gay rights obsessed ‘liberal’ democracy has emereged in its place.

Time we had a quick look at the current situation to remind ourselves that (a) the people who want to depose the government are not automatically the good guys and (b) just because local tyrants like Gaddaffi and Assad are shits, this does not mean there aren’t bigger shits waiting to replace them.

The Libyan Bedlam: General Hifter, the CIA and the Unfinished Coup

from URUKNET.INFO
On Friday, Feb 14, 92 prisoners escaped from their prison in the Libyan town of Zliten. 19 of them were eventually recaptured, two of whom were wounded in clashes with the guards. It was just another daily episode highlighting the utter chaos which has engulfed Libya since the overthrow of Muammar Ghaddafi in 2011.

Much of this is often reported with cliché explanations as in the country’s ‘security vacuum’, or Libya’s lack of a true national identity. Indeed, tribe and region seem to supersede any other affiliation, but it is hardly that simple.

On that same Friday, Feb 14, Maj. Gen. Khalifa Hifter announced a coup in Libya. “The national command of the Libyan Army is declaring a movement for a new road map” (to rescue the country), Hifter declared through a video post. Oddly enough, little followed by way of a major military deployment in any part of the country. The country’s Prime Minister Ali Zeidan described the attempted coup as “ridiculous”.

CIA – FUKUS axis Meddling in Ukraine Proved

Not quite a Told you So for Little Nicky to brag about (you know how I hate saying “I told you so”, but my friends at The Daily Stirrer did warn of what was coming in Ukraine and told you that the escalating conflict was being exacerbated by the meddling of foreign powers (namely the usual suspects, the FUKUS axis) in Ukraine’s domestic affairs.

On 28 January this year the Stirrer wrote:

On Monday, January 27, members of Spilna Sprava (which translates as The Right Deed) occupied the Justice Ministry in Ukrainian capital city Kiev and demanded President Viktor Yanukovych resign. The protestors smashed windows and built makeshift barricades. The government response was to threatened it would declare a state of emergency…

Spilna Sprava describes itself as “an Open Society Institute supported and funded group”. That’s Open Society Institute now known as Open Society Foundations (OSF), founded and funded by billionaire fanancier and leading light of the Bilderberg Group George Soros, through which the neo fascist financier and global totalitarian government advocate doles out grants to pro European Union (EU) activist groups in central Europe that are dedicated to the cause of undermining the Russian Federation and extending the EU. It builds upon and continues the work of the Ford Foundation which since the early 1950s, the CIA has used the Ford Foundation as a front organisation. (The PDF from Google books may take a few seconds to load – you want page 340) …”

The article goes on to reveal how the “Ford Foundation”, funded by global totalitarian government advocate Soros, has been active is various states around africa, Asia and Eastern Europe and then explains how the Ford Foundation operates as a CIA front. Read full article in The Daily Stirrer

Today the alomst the first thing seen by Little Nicky online was this:

“A CIA agent has allegedly just been captured in the Ukraine as shown on the video below. This video was just emailed to Before It’s News at the request that we publish this information immediately. Is this MORE PROOF that the CIA and US government are fomenting revolution in the Ukraine or propaganda from ‘the other side’?”

A Little Real News About Syria Leaks Into Mainstream Media

The New World Order politicians and the hacks of mainstream media are still reporting the Syria conflict on the basis of Bad King Bashar – good King Organ Nosher. So it is a welcome change to see a truthful report about why the UN and their FUKUS axis will not let the conflict crawl to its natural conclusion with Assad rounding up all the Al Qaeda fighters, human organ noshers and people who drew funny glasses and a moustache and beard on pictures of him, and having them lined up against a wall and shot.

Take a look at this from Global Research:

Every now and then we have a chance to peek through a tiny window to see how “diplomacy” is done behind closed doors. Last week the leaked conversation between US diplomats plotting the overthrow of Ukraine’s government was one such dramatic moment.

Another came yesterday, in an interview with Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon, Ghazanfar Roknabadi, which appeared in the respected Lebanese Daily Star newspaper. In a sweeping interview, the Ambassador discussed the recent bombing of the Iranian embassy in Beirut and the regional threat of the growing number of jihadist groups in Syria.

Assad RallyThen he let loose with this bombshell. Roknabadi told the Daily Star that the Iranian government had been under pressure to convince Syrian president Bashar al-Assad not to run again for president. As Syria’s only regional ally, Iran presumably has a good deal of influence with the Assad government.

Russia Accuses US, Threatens Intervention In Ukraine

Little Nicky and hius friends at the Daily Stirrer told you Ukrain was America’s next target for destabilisation.

A senior Kremlin aide accused the United States on Thursday of arming Ukrainian “rebels” and, urging the Kiev government to put down what he called an attempted coup, warned Russia could intervene to maintain the security of its ex-Soviet neighbor.

Sergei Glazyev, an adviser to President Vladimir Putin with responsibility for relations with Ukraine, told a newspaper that U.S. “interference” breached the 1994 treaty under which Washington and Moscow jointly guaranteed Ukraine’s security and sovereignty after Kiev gave up its Soviet-era nuclear arsenal.

New Media Site Formerly Devoted To Obama Repelled By His Choice Of Allies

At the foot of yesterday’s post I ran a link to a story in the New York Times, formerly USD Print Media’s most devoted Obama worshippers, about how the President’s new best mates, the brutal and cannibalistic Al Qaeda affilitated Syrian rebels were butchering Assad loyalists.

The NYT coverage I linked to was rather limited in scope as most of their site is behind a paywall. Here is the perspective offered by another Obama loyalist media channel, (links to disturbing video and images)The Daily Beast on the kind of people Barack Hussein Obama wants to ally the USA, Britain and other NATO powers with.

And if you are still physically attached to your Sunday lunch, why not take a look at this story of Syrian rebels carrying out a massage of inhabitants in several Syriac christian villages. A video included in this report but not yet authenticated purports to show Syrian rebels dismembering a young girl with a saw, starting while the child is alive.

If there is to be any intervention in Syria it now must surely be on the side of Assad who in the brutality league looks like Accrington Stanley playing against Manchester United or Chelsea.

Do you understand now why Little Nicky Machiavelli said we should have stood back and let Assad deal with the unrest, allowed Gaddafi to crush the libyan rebellion and let Mubarak sort out the Muslim Brotherhood inspired dissent in Egypt.

Some places are just not suited to western style democracy.

So Much For Progress On Syria

After recent meetings with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, both USA Secretary of State John (Lurch) Kerry and UK Prime Minister David Cameron returned claiming they were more optimistic about replacing the regime of the Dictator Assad with a western style liberal democracy ( under Sharia law acceptable to all factions opposing Assad.

Little Nicky (posting here and as my alter egos Ian Thorpe, Ed Butt and Egbert Nobakon) told you that it was very dangerout to take anything the Russian leader said at face value and when little Vlad talked about the need to “work together” his likely meaning was “The west needs to back off and let Assad, with help from Russia and Iran, crush the rebellion.”

Today I read this (from PressTV):
“Russia says Iran plays a key role in resolving the crisis in Syria, underlining the need for the participation of the Islamic Republic in an upcoming international conference on Syria in Geneva.

“While Moscow calls for [the] participation of more members including Syria neighboring countries, Iran and Saudi Arabia in the second round of talks [in Geneva], Washington is trying to decrease the number of these participating countries and replace them with those countries who are supporting the militant groups in Syria,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview with Al-Mayadeen TV on Monday.

At a joint press conference in Moscow on May 7, the Russian foreign minister and US Secretary of State John Kerry agreed to encourage the Syrian government and the foreign-backed militants to find a political solution to the crisis.

When Russia talks of co operation they have always meant everybody doing what suits Russia.

Ignore The Left’s Warmongering Calls For Intervention In Syria

Morons to the right of me, idiots to the left. What are us libertarians to do as we find ourselves in our customary position, clinging to a raft of common sense as we try to navigate a course through a sea of insanity.

My stance on the trouble spots of the middle east has always been the same, firmly non interventionist and I am not shifting as the propaganda peddlars of mainstream media intensify their calls for us to get involved in another Afghanistan.

Or another Libya which having been liberated by western bombs from a tryant is now a failed state with gangsters and tribal warlords running the show.

It is none of our business. Yes we know Assad is a bastard and that information alone is enough to set the bleeding hearts and hand wringers calling for the western powers to overthrow him. Yes we know Syria has oil and that is enough to set the right wingers off about securing oil supplied by installing a puppet government.

The fact is that while the rebels are being armed by the Narcissist in Chief via Turkey and Saudi Arabia and while Russia and China are supporting Assad it is a conflict to stay well clear of. Intervention in Afghanistan has cost hundreds of British and thousands of Afghan lives and achieved nothing. Syria is likely to turn into an even bloodier mess.

Peter Hitchens’ blog has some interesting information on what the situation in Syria isv really like. Now I know lefties are apt to fly into a blind fury at the mention of Hitchens’ name but he is a fine journalist when writing on foreign affairs so for once in your lives try to behave like rational human beings and consider that part of the evidence that does not affirm your prejudices.

Here’s part of the blog. Click the title to read the full thing (but you migh have to scroll down past the jubilee bit because someone forgot to put the “div id” container in.

The truth seeps out of Syria

I have been contacted by a group of Western women who live in Syria and who believe that most of what the world is being told about that country is false.

As far as I can discover, they are not stooges of what they agree to be a rather nasty government in Damascus, but exactly what they say they are: normal human beings caught up in a political tornado. For obvious reasons, I have promised to protect their identities.

I urge you to read what follows, because it is important, because our emotional interventions in other countries never do any good, and because it is vital that people resist attempts to drag us into Syria, too, by feeding us one-sided atrocity propaganda.

This sort of propaganda has a price. I hope you have noticed the continuing tally of deaths of selfless British soldiers in Afghanistan, in a cause long ago abandoned.

And I hope you have also noticed that Libya, ‘rescued’ by us a few months ago, is now a failed state whose main international airport was recently taken over by gangsters, and where unjustly arrested prisoners are starved and tortured in secret dungeons.

One of my informants from Syria writes of the ‘activists’ we hear so much about: ‘These protesters are not peaceful, flower-carrying people wanting freedom. No, they are weapon-toting killers who snipe, who ambush, who fire upon the army with the sole purpose of inciting riot and mayhem.’

She blames Salafis, ultra-puritan Muslims influenced by Saudi teachings, who loathe and threaten Syria’s minorities of Alawites and Christians. She says many of the ‘activists’ are foreigners, a view shared by all my informants. Many of the ‘activists’ are armed.

Armed intervention is in fact well under way, uncondemned by the UN, which readily attacks the Syrian government for defending itself. Another writes: ‘I have seen reports of opposition rallies which showed pictures of pro-government rallies, and reports purporting to be from the north Syrian countryside, where it has been an incredibly wet year, which appear to have been taken in some desert. The news being accepted as truth by BBC World News is so biased these days that I no longer believe what they say about anything any more, after more than 60 years of crediting them with the truth.’

It Look As If The Interventionists Will Get Their Global Conflict Wish

By waving through a flotilla of Iranian warships to cross the Suez Canal and dock in Syria in support of the regime, Egypt has signaled the Middle East can never be the same again. Iran, for its part, is sending an important message that neither the heightened standoff with the US nor the avalanche of Israeli threats has succeeded in brow-beating it.
– M K Bhadrakumar (Feb 21, ’12)

Ambassador M K Bhadrakumar was a career diplomat in the Indian Foreign Service. His assignments included the Soviet Union, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Germany, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kuwait and Turkey

A flotilla of Iranian warships passed unhindered through the Suez Canal and docked at the Syrian port of Tartus last Saturday. Iran’s Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi said the mission displays Iran’s “might” despite 30 years of relentless sanctions.

According to press agency sources the flotilla comprised the 18th Fleet of the Iranian navy. The warships will hold exercises and will “train Syrian naval forces under an agreement signed between Tehran and Damascus one year ago”.

The influential cleric and deputy chairman of the Majlis’ (parliament’s” National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Hossein Ebrahimi said:

“The presence of Iran and Russia’s flotillas along the Syrian coasts has a clear message against the United States’ possible adventurism. In case of any US strategic mistake in Syria, there is a possibility that Iran, Russia and a number of other countries will give a crushing response to the US.”

The activities of the Iranian warships at Tartus (which is also used by the Russian navy) will be keenly watched by the regional powers s uch as Turkey, Jordan, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Unconfirmed reports suggest that veterans of Iran’s Qods Force (a special unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps) might be dispatched to Syria to assist the regime.

Simply put, Iran’s message to Turkey, its Arab allies (which are arming and supporting the Syrian opposition)and their covert supporter, the alleged closet Wahabi Muslim Barack Hussein Obama will be: “Brothers, if you keep fucking with us, we will fuck with you.”

This latest sant off shouls provide much food for thought, particularly for those who protested when Little Nicky Machiavelli conselled a policy of non intervention in the Arab Spring uprising. The United Nations charter does not provide for military campaigns to effect regime change for a very good reason – the new regime can and often does turn out worse than the old. So far we have sen two brutal and repressive secular dictatorships replace by even more brutal and repressive Islamic theocracies that promise to impose Sharia law and yet our leaders, let by the closet Trotskyite Barack Hussein Obama are pushing for the same negative result in Syria. With like our own national leaders the west does not need to antagonise friends like Gadaffi, Mubarak and Assad. The mostly Wahabi (fundamentalist) Arab oil monarchies too, as they gather in Tunis this coming Sunday for the first meeting of the “Friends of Syria” have plenty to think about. Kocking over dictators like Mubarak, Bren Ali and Gaddafi was kids stuff but Syria with Shi’ite Iran pluse self interested Russia and China onside is a different matter.

For Turkey, the Iranian warships have arrived in Syria at a very bad time. The Israeli newspaper Ha’aretz reported that the Syrian army had captured 40 Turkish intelligence officers involved in subversive activities and over the past week Ankara has been “conducting intensive negotiations” with Damascus to secure their freedom. Apart from Turkish forces operating in Syria it is well known that American, British and French special forces are on the ground.

Syria insists in return for the captives’ release, on Turkey ending its role in supplying Syrian rebels with American arms and ceases infiltrations into Syrian teritory. Furthermore, the Assad regime wants Iran to be the mediator.

Ha’aretz noted: Western officials fear that Iranian military presence along with Russian aid could turn Syria into a center of international friction much worse than the struggle inside Syria. They fear that the control over actions in Syria will be taken over by a Russian-Iranian “partnership” which would exclude the European Union and Turkey …

If only someone had had the balls to stand up to that egomaniacal idiot Obama all this could have been bavoided. Now it looks as if one by one, all over the middle east, the lights are going out.
