Little Nicky Machiavelli’s blog seems to have become the place for reporting war and civil conflict in Jenny Greenteeth’s ever expanding media empire. While our attention has been focused on Syria, Mali, Ukraine and other places we have not forgotten the first domino to fall in the global elite’s war on national sovereignty, Libya.
Though you may not have heard much from Libya in mainstream media, this does not mean that in the wake of a FUKUS axis regime change campaign of bombing and supplying weapons to psychopaths which brought down the unpleasant but effective Gaddafi regime, an Obama worshipping, gay rights obsessed ‘liberal’ democracy has emereged in its place.
Time we had a quick look at the current situation to remind ourselves that (a) the people who want to depose the government are not automatically the good guys and (b) just because local tyrants like Gaddaffi and Assad are shits, this does not mean there aren’t bigger shits waiting to replace them.
The Libyan Bedlam: General Hifter, the CIA and the Unfinished Coup
On Friday, Feb 14, 92 prisoners escaped from their prison in the Libyan town of Zliten. 19 of them were eventually recaptured, two of whom were wounded in clashes with the guards. It was just another daily episode highlighting the utter chaos which has engulfed Libya since the overthrow of Muammar Ghaddafi in 2011.
Much of this is often reported with cliché explanations as in the countrys security vacuum, or Libyas lack of a true national identity. Indeed, tribe and region seem to supersede any other affiliation, but it is hardly that simple.
On that same Friday, Feb 14, Maj. Gen. Khalifa Hifter announced a coup in Libya. The national command of the Libyan Army is declaring a movement for a new road map (to rescue the country), Hifter declared through a video post. Oddly enough, little followed by way of a major military deployment in any part of the country. The countrys Prime Minister Ali Zeidan described the attempted coup as ridiculous.
